Lusine Harutyunyan showed remarkable musical abilities as a child. She began her music studies at the School of Art in her native city Yerevan, where she learned to play a variety of instruments, her favourite being the violin. Later she studied at the Yerevan State Conservatory under the guidance of Gagik Smbatyan.

She studied under Pavel Vernikov at École de Musique de Lausanne in 2017 and then was also admitted to a soloist-training course at Haute École de Musique de Genève taught by Svetlin Roussev. In 2019 she obtained the highest marks in the course and was consequently awarded the Henry Stern prize.

Harutyunyan has won prizes in many national and international competitions including the Tadeusz Wronski Competition in Warsaw, the International Music Competition in Malta, the Aram Khachaturian Competition in Yerevan, and the Postacchini Competition in Fermo.

Recently she recorded Beethoven’s Triple Concerto in Germany with Benedikt Kloeckner, Ekaterina Litvintseva and Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen, conducted by Vahan Mardirossian.

In November 2017 Harutyunyan gave her debut recital in Carnegie Hall, New York.

She is regularly invited to perform in the USA, the countries making up the former USSR, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Bulgaria, and Armenia.

In October 2023 Lusine Harutyunyan made her debut with the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia in Vincennes.

Harutyunyan plays a violin made by Giuseppe Ceruti and generously loaned to her by Gilles Chancereul.

In the coming 2025/2026 season Lusine will make her debut with Miami Symphony Orchestra as a member of the piano trio Roverde.
